Who’s excited? :D

  1. Well that was hilarious. I loved the part when Steve professed his love for Jason. And the whole Eric and Nora thing, well all I can say is that there isn’t any love lost between them. I’m worried that the future of TB (and SVM) will not be pro Sookie and Eric. :S

  2. Completely agree with Kat, i’m worried about the future of Sookie and Eric in True Blood too…this episode was horrible for me…=(

  3. I thought the episode was good. I actually love the whole Eric and Bill bromance- it’s hilarious! Also I like Nora’s character, interesting twist! I’m still rooting for Eric and Sookie, but Sookie needs to get over herself, and grow up already. Seriously.

    Comment by Jen — June 11, 2012 @ 12:02 am

  4. I am gutted about Eric & Sookie I really think that they are not going to get together. He is just as bad as bill! I am so upset.

    Comment by Louise — June 11, 2012 @ 6:11 am

  5. Well, that pretty much blew. When Bill started to run to Sookie’s while Eric just sat there my thought was, “Here we go again. Make Bill the hero and Eric the a$$.” Then the whole scene with Nora, wtf? It was like Ball just had to rub it in to the E/S fans that he would NEVER put them together again. I am over the show now. They are so far out from the books that I can’t enjoy it anymore. It’s like bad fanfiction. It’s like if they had done Twilight, Bella would have married Jacob. (I hate Twilight but only example I could think of) I understand that they want to keep it fresh and with surprises for people who have read the books, but like I have said over, over and over again, they need to change the channel to AMC and see how The Walking Dead has done that. They keep it fresh and surprising WHILE keeping the MAIN storyline in tact! AND they don’t completely change the personalities of the characters. They also STICK TO THE BOOKS for the important parts.

If you can tell, I am very disappointed with what has gone down.

  6. I have very mixed feelings about that episode. I like that the character of Nora exists, that she’s Eric’s sister, and works for the authority. I’m not happy that she already got caught helping them. I’d hoped they’d let that play out a bit longer. I’m not at all happy that she and Eric had sex so soon. I didn’t expect him to be celibate since Sookie rejected him, but, having sex with someone else less than 24 hours AFTER that rejection made it feel too forced. As for Bill wanting to help Sookie, and Eric wanting not t, well, I’m okay with that. I can’t blame Eric for being a little bitter about the way she left. Plus, he was trying to save his own butt, and I have no problem with him deciding to protect himself rather than try to help her.

I suspected that they’d end up making Tara a vampire, but never in a million years would I guess that Pam would be her maker. So, I’ve got to give the writing team creativity points for that. All the same, I think making her a vamp is a HORRIBLE idea!

  7. Tara is going to be Bubba! Not happy with it but that’s the vibe I’m getting. She looks like a rabid dog in the promos. We’ll see how this goes. Not happy at all!

    Comment by VikingGirl — June 11, 2012 @ 10:39 am

  8. It was a depressing episode! Yesterday Eric loved Sookie and hated Bill the very next day he is shouting fuck Sookie and getting all broke mountain with Bill then doing his sister. Meanwhile Sookie is dealing with one of the saddest days of her life. Should I even mention what had been done to Tara…… omg why did they do that!

    Comment by twilla — June 11, 2012 @ 11:01 am

  9. I have to agree with Twilla that I’m not so into the whole “bromance” between Eric and Bill. I’m interested to see how they’ll react when they’re forced to work so closely together to take down Russell, but, I have a feeling the writers will take it too far. I’ve gotta respect Eric though for refusing to leave Bill behind when they’d first escaped from the car trunk and were unaware that Nora was there.

Considering that this is the last season in which Alan Ball will be as involved as a writer, I’m interested to see how they end things, and how different it will be after he’s gone.

    Comment by AshleySue — June 11, 2012 @ 12:38 pm

  10. I am more than bothered by the bromance between Bill and Eric. I miss the Season 2 and Season 3 Bill and Eric interactions. I know that they have to work together against a common enemy, but they don’t have to like it. I really miss the snarkiness between them. The Tara sub-plot is interesting to say the least. I can see a lot of darkness in Sookie this season with how she described killing Debbie Pelt, and I didn’t think she seemed as upset about Tara as she should have been.

    Comment by Mandy B — June 11, 2012 @ 2:11 pm

  11. Mandy B, until you mentioned it, I’d COMPLETELY forgotten how Sookie had talked about killing Debbie. In the books, it took almost all the way to Deadlocked before she could finally come to grips with the fact that she participated in killing someone simply because they needed to die, not because at that very moment she was fighting in self defense. I’m not a big fan of the huge differences between the show and the books. However, I’ve always had a problem with how Sookie refuses to face the reality that she’s a killer. There’s a BIG difference between what she’s had to do, and cold-blooded murder, but she can’t distinguise the difference. I’m curious to see how the TB writers will work that into her character, and the way she relates to others.

And, can I just say, I LOVED Lafayette’s reaction to Sookie’s little confession!

    Comment by AshleySue — June 11, 2012 @ 3:17 pm

  12. Well I was disappointed in Eric also.It was clear that Bill was ready to rush to Sookie’s aid. It was almost like old times when Eric was Bill’s superior. Eric and Nora certainly have a lot of chemistry! Wow! and Wow! I think Eric is hurt and a little angry over Sookie’s rejection. He is not used to women turning him down and he had professed his love for her. Also something new for him. He’s experiencing human emotions and maybe he’s thinking ‘okay you don’t want me so you’re on your own now’. This is petty of him I know. I can’t wait to see how they react when they’re face to face again. And will Sookie be jealous of Nora? I wonder if Godric turned Nora so Eric would have a female companion? Maybe he wanted to add to their family. In the books it was Bill who had the vampire sister. Sometimes it does seem as though Alan Ball is determined to have Bill and Sookie together. But I am a die hard Eric and Sookie fan..

  13. I think AB is just throwing sex scenes in there to throw in sex scenes. He sticks all of CH’s ideas in a blender and that’s how it’s written. Maybe he had manatees write it? I don’t know but I did enjoy Lafayette standing up to Alcide like that. The Steve Newlin thing wasn’t much of a shocker although I did enjoy Jason’s reaction. Too bad Eddie isn’t around. Maybe Stevie and Eddie would’ve made a hot couple!

    Comment by VikingGirl — June 11, 2012 @ 6:08 pm

  14. Yeah that was pretty bad a$$ of Lafayette. I don’t think Alcide expected that. I think right now Eric is shutting down his emotions so he doesn’t have to deal with his feelings for Sookie. I am curious as to how Sookie is going to mend the rift between Eric and Pam. Will she do something to make Eric hate her? Or will she just try talking to him? And I hope Jessica rips Newlin’s head off! Steve effing Newlin indeed! What the heck was that supposed to mean? By the way they didn’t cut the episodes back this season did they?

    Comment by Betty — June 11, 2012 @ 9:20 pm

  15. You know I worry about the future of Eric and Sookie too. I just love the characters so much from the books. It’s like Alan Ball and co. said ‘Okay we’re going to put Eric and Sookie together and it will be beautiful but don’t get too used to it because it won’t even last until the end of the season’. Well it didn’t last in the books either. But they got together later in the book series. So I guess I can still hope. You know I have to say that after Eric’s romp with Nora he was in a very good mood. I think he was the happiest I’ve ever seen him. He was even nice to Alcide on the phone!

    Comment by Betty — June 12, 2012 @ 5:46 pm

  16. Although I was super sad to see that Eric was (maybe) over Sookie, and the fact that Nora is his sister (why Alan, why??!?!) , I am at least glad that Eric is getting his viking on. Throughout the tv series, Eric never seemed as fun or cool as he did in the books.. I mean, in the books he would always have a funny, sexy line… but in the tv show he was always so uptight and grumpy. So now, even if it isn’t with Sookie, he still seems happy. Ps…..I love his reaction to Alcide on the phone! He sounds like the funny, charismatic Eric we all want Alex to be playing. Plus, he’s smiling!*faints* yays!

    Comment by Amy Forester — June 13, 2012 @ 12:42 am

  17. Agreeing with most of you, I too loved when Lafayette went crazy on Alcide. alcide is like what, 6″4/6″5′ at least! And he’s a freakin badass werewolf.,.. and then Lafayette totally shows him who’s the alpha dog. :-) For all it’s worth, I’m just glad that Debbie’s dead. Yes, yes, there were some ENORMOUS details changed, but in the end, she is dead… Woohoo.

    Comment by Amy Forester — June 13, 2012 @ 12:49 am

  18. Well, the more I think about the Eric/Bill friendship thing, the more it annoys me. Simply because it doesn’t seem like there’s any substance behind it. They’ve been stuck with working together before, but they didn’t like it and they were snarky the whole time. This episode they weren’t like that, really. The snarkiness is gone and replaced by some bromance that isn’t very convincing. :/
And let’s not even get started on Tara. Most fans didn’t want her to come back alive, and I’m sure the ones that did are insulted by what they’ve done to her.
