Brittany - Shreveport, 5 September 2009
Well, my friends and I decided to take a little road trip to Shreveport just because we knew he was there... we weren't expecting to even see him - much less meet him! We got to the hotel late last night, so we decided to wake up really early this morning and stay in the lobby to see if we'd catch a glimpse of him. After a while we ended up seeing James Marsden, who is also in Straw Dogs but still no Alexander. We decided to stick it out a little longer - and there he was. All 6'4" of him... he was wearing a black polo with the collar popped, black shorts and white and green Adidas shoes - after a couple of mins of pure shock we went up to him and said "I know this sounds crazy, but can you please take a picture with us? And he said "Sure!" Then he walked over and said "Where do you want me?" in which we replied "In the middle!!!" I told him that meeting him totally made up for True Blood not being on this week...and he simply replied with "I know, right?"
We also found out that he was staying in the suite that joined with our room!! WHAT ARE THE ODDS?! He smells DELISH and was so nice... I can't believe I was lucky enough to run into him. After the picture we went to the set of Straw Dogs and caught a glimpse of him on the set! Well worth the 6 hour drive!!!!

Erika - Shreveport, 3 September 2009
I was driving home from the barn where I ride horses and went by a restaurant that is close to my house. When famous people come to town they usually eat there a lot. I saw him there on his birthday but did not want to bother him by asking for a picture. So I was going past the restaurant and saw a man leaning against a car and it looked like Alexander so I decided to turn around to see. I pulled into the parking lot and parked next to him. He was with about 3 other people and they had a flat tire. I was nervous about asking for a picture and about 10 mins later a truck comes to help them with their flat. I finally got up the nerve to get out of the car and go up to him. I went up and said, "Are you Alexander?" and he laughed and said, "Yes." And then I said, "Can I please have a picture with you?" and he said, "Oh, yes, sure." The guy that was fixing the tire offered to take the picture and he did. Then after he took the picture Alex asked, "Oh, do you ride?" (bc I had riding clothes on) and I said yes. And then I thanked him and he said, "No problem. My pleasure." And then I got back in my car and freaked out, haha! But he was really nice! And soooo cute!!

Lilia - Shreveport, August 2009
I was chatting it up with a new friend in the lobby about to go get myself a beer and something to eat, when low and behold Alex walked into the hotel after a run/jog. He was wearing a little white tank and was all sweaty. He stopped to chat with Dominic Purcell (Prison Break). I didn't want to seem weird and ask him for a picture right then. He turned to go upstairs and headed for the elevators, and I realized this might be my last chance to get a picture with him, so I scurried over to the elevators as well. I yelled for him to hold the door for me, and he got all flustered and was like, "Oh wait, sorry, AHHH!" and he began furiously hitting the open door button, but the door closed on my fingers and I gave him this terrified look and made this awful sound. Feeling defeated, I went to the hotel bar and began drinking... I DID NOT WANT THAT TO BE THE LAST THING HE REMEMBERED ABOUT ME!
So sure enough he comes strolling back down out of the elevator. As soon as he passed me, I said to him, "Excuse me, Alexander?" and he turned and smiled at me, stopping in his tracks. I asked him, "Do you mind taking a quick picture with me?" and he smiled and said, "Sure." When we started walking towards each other, I looked up at him and I got really nervous. When I get nervous I start making jokes. So there we were, face to face, and I said, "I mean, since you closed the elevator door in my face and all..." and he looked at me and was like, "Oh yeah... Hey, no! You saw me, I tried to open it back up for you, sorry about that!" Of course I told him I was kidding. So he put his arm around me and while waiting for the picture, I started saying, "Should I stand on my tippy toes or what?" He laughed and said, " I know, right," and then I leaned over and grabbed the bar chair and began to climb on it and said, "Or maybe I should just stand on this chair?" He laughed, the picture was taken, and I turned around and told him that I really appreciated it and that he rocked. He turned around and said thanks and you're welcome. The other people I was with said, "Don't go anywhere, we're going to get a picture with you too." He smiled and said, "Oh, I'm not going anywhere. I'm here for 2 more months." I turned around and smiled again and said, "Thanks so much for doing that, you're awesome." And he smiled and said thank you, you're welcome, and waved bye to us. He met up with Billy Lush (Trombley from Generation Kill) and headed out to do whatever it is that boys do... And then I continued drinking because I was so happy that I FINALLY got that damn picture. He was such a sweetheart, laughed at my stupid jokes, and treated everyone around him like angels.
PS: He smells like rainbows, kittens, and excellence, and his abs are rock hard... I made sure I rubbed his tummy. :)
PSS: when I first got there, I was having a drink in the lobby and Jim Parrack (Hoyt on True Blood) walked by! They were filming another movie there and he just happened to be in the cast! Right before Alex came in from his jog, Jim (Hoyt) came back from shooting scenes, I guess, and the woman I was with chatted him up for a little bit. He was very sweet and gracious! You won't believe all the people that I met/saw this past week. 2 movies being filmed at the same time and they were all staying at my hotel. Craziness!
The pictures from the set are the clearest ones I got. I actually could have met him then because I walked right past a group of girls taking pictures with him, but I felt that it would be better to not bother him while he was at work. But he was extremely nice to all the girls that stopped him and asked for a picture on set!
