After being cheered up at the strip club, a turn of events thrusts Sookie into danger from a legendary supe that will up her involvement in supernatural affairs. Sookie and Eric must find a way to keep ahead of the game and prevent a prophesied war that would take place on two planes of existence. In the process, Eric just might get a chance to settle an old score.

In the 10th century, Eirik's (Eric's) mother died giving birth to him, and his life is in danger from his older brothers who all want a piece of their father's holdings which his father declared would go to Eirik. His father gives the care of Eirik over to his daughter and her hersir husband to raise with their own children. Read about Eirik's adventures with his sister's family as he is growing up, how he dealt with grief and the loss of the first woman he ever loved, and how he lived with an arranged marriage to a sorceress wife. Through all of this, Eirik dealt with the treachery of his older siblings, having to battle a number of them, and how he matured to become a Viking leader in his own right both in his homeland and in Northumbria.
Presently, Sookie is managing the bar while Sam is in Texas taking care of his mother after she was injured during the 'reveal.' It isn't quite as easy as she thought it was going to be, and she finds herself thinking about Eric and her feelings about him. Eric reenters her life, and she finally admits to herself that she cares about him. However, all is not well in Louisiana with the takeover by Nevada. To acerbate the situation, an ancient curse from the Viking age, sends Sookie back to 10th century Northumbia to Jorvik, the Viking city of York where she meets Eric before he was turned.
This is Eric's back story told from the past and the present.

I can't tell you how great it is and how happy I am with how you've portrayed Eric and how happy I am to see Eric and Sookie finally together. I love that she asks questions and is going to be more informed. She does need to grow up a little and I'm happy to see that as well. Keep up the good work. I know how it is having writer's block but we eventually get over it and out pours something fantastic. I felt I knew what was coming that either Sookie or Eric would meet their demise but not both of them. I can totally see Eric staking himself cause he had no other reason to live. It wouldn't be worth it to kill Bill. What would be the point. That would be too easy for Bill. He deserves to suffer. He doesn't think and Sookie paid the price. Now if she was human, would she have survived that? Not thinking so. Either way she would have met her death. It would have been interesting to see what happened if it was Eric who was killed and not Sookie. How would that effect Bill? Would he have felt they could still be together or would Sookie want to have him killed and could she do it.
Loved it nonetheless.
