What Bill said about Erics Blood..

Alright you guys know how Bill said Sookie shouldn't be suprised if she had some sexual attraction to Eric now that shes had some of his blood? Wouldn't that automatically cheapen any love Sookie has for Eric in the future of the tv series? Sookie had some of his blood in the books but they never said anything about Sookie liking Eric just because she had a drop of his blood, so Sookies thing for him is natural =) ..in the books at least. Im gonna be mad if Sook will just like Eric because of his blood in the show >.<

I disagree. She uses the blood bond as an excuse for what she feels for him because she doesn't want to admit she is in love whit him(untill Dead in the family) but she was attracted to him before she took any of his blood and way before the blood bond and the show is making it like she feels attracted to him because of his blood.

Sheesh yes I have read the same books like 10+times...She does question the BLoodBond after she has it, but the books never said some of Erics blood will make her like him, just that he could get a reading on her emotions. The TV show does. And yeah makes it look like thats the only reason she likes him lol. Theres not much of another reason she would be fantasising about him at the level she is this eary in the series, unlike the books they havent had any laughs, havent had even one hot kiss.
How will they manage to clear it up, if Eric and Sookie do get together in the show?

I agree with Catherine that Sookie uses the bond as an excuse for her feelings for Eric, she was 'intriqued' by him before there was any swapping of blood. I'd like to think that Ball could get round such an issue in the show as it is worth remembering that her and Bill swapped blood after she was beaten on by the Rattrays but still manages to reconcile her feelings for Bill as genuine. I think it's an interesting counterpoint in Bill's positioning as being ordered to seduce Sookie if necessary by the Queen... a blood bond would certainly facilitate that. I think if Sookie can recognise those feelings for Bill then she certainly could for our Eric!

well,as Eric pointed out (in an ep i cant recall) Bill gave sookie a pretty large amount of his blood when they first met / before they became a "couple" etc.

the circumstances may have been much different but isn't the end result the same?
Bill romanticizes / justifies everything. Eric is to the point and feels no need to justify his actions.
Their means may differ but in reality they're actually very similiar IMO.

Eric's older, so his blood is more potent - less is needed for it to achieve the same effect as say ... Bill's blood. But again, the end result is the same. We don't have any inddication that eric's blood has any special quaities (aside from potency) than any other vamp's.

I dont think the blood bond is the only thing that bonds sookie and eric, but (in the show) sookie is also repulsed by eric (at least on a concious level) and all the blood bond is going to do is make her chalk up any change in those feelings to having ingested his blood.... unfortunately it's just going to make her doubt how much of what she's feeling are truly her own feelings indeendent of the bood bond.

I think alcide is going to come into play in a major way this season b/c she's going to be "up to here" with vamps after bills betrayal and eric's tricking her into a blood bond. On that note I'm guessing AB will stick (more or less) to the books story line.

And we've finally heard the words that many of us have been waiting for:

Sookie I think was a bit jealous that Eric had spent the last 6 hours banging Yvetta
We shall see how this relationship progresses over the next 11 episodes

Eric & Sookie aren't bonded now and I would highly doubt AB is going to bond them this season. In fact I doubt he would ever bond them. Which is why I asked the question, I would hate to think I missed a spoiler somewhere. lol

I'm glad you're sure Bill has betrayed Sookie in the show as he has in the books. The fact that the queen seems to have no interest in or loyalty to Bill, or interest in Sookie leads me to believe this will be another change from the books in the show. Right now the queen seems to be being portrayed as not particularly bright, and a very selfish spendthrift. Not sure how someone like that could make it to queen in AB's version, but apparently she has.

In the books Queen Sophie Ann's only supposed to be 15,a teenager.
And not all that bright~but ERW won the part.
I think she's all wrong for it~Should have cast someone like Hayden Pannitare?
ERW's 23 and engaged in real life to Marylin Manson,the weird singer.
ERW did a good job on Sunday~It's just that I wanted to scream when she grabbed a
fist full of Alexander and then had the gaul to Climb that mountain!!
QSA's a real drama Queen~especially, when she was lying thru her pointy teeth
to the Magister about the V~and was trying to make it look like Eric was responsible.
When we all know that she's the mastermind of the whole V selling mess!

Now will we see Eric and Sookie bonded this Season
Good question~What we will see is Eric and Sookie giving into their feeling.
In my book, it's about time!!
I liked William Thomas Compton,III from the first time I saw him.
But that was before I read the books~Which was after the first Season.
So,now I know what Bill's betrayal is~I'm not such a fan anymore.
Now if you watched Sunday~then you know that Eric has finally admitted
his love for Sookie~ "Even if I can't have what is some one else's"
He's not giving up! In fact, one of the lines next week has Eric telling
Sookie "It would be advantagous if Bill Compton were never found"
We have to see how Alan Ball is going to play this out this season.
