Emmy Death Match: ‘Dexter’ vs. ‘True Blood’

Postby sarahbr11 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 10:52 pm

Hey guys! So ‘True Blood’ and ‘Dexter’ are in some competition for some of the same Emmy awards. FEARnet did a little article predicting who would win the awards. According to them, ‘True Blood’ isn’t gonna fair to well. What do you think?
Here’s a link to it: http://www.fearnet.com/news/b19522_emmy ... blood.html

never watched Dexter.
Couldn't care about it.
Not into a series about a serial killer.

Honestly, i love the book series, and i was freaking up in arms when i found out it was to become a tv series. And on HBO, which meant it would not have to be censored. But, i believe the first 2 seasons are nothing less than mediocre. Season 3 seems to be picking up the pace and far surpasses the last 2 seasons.

I'll love watching the show regardless of how uninteresting Tara is, and quite a few other characters. But, for people who might not have read the books, they may not find the show half as exciting in the past because lets face it, the last 2 seasons werent riproaring with craziness and was no where near as good as the books but us readers will stick it.

So, it won't be a total shocker to me if they don't win anything.

Welcome to the board and to the conversations.
The Show was nominated for an Emmy~ But none of the cast was nominated.
And the writers were nominated.
Season 1 was good~ I could have done without Season 2's storyline.
Allmost all of that Season was a waste~Except for Godric, his Meeting the Sun
I didn't need to see AlanBall's obcession with "The Maenad"/Maryanne Forrester.
I like Season 3 so far~just get rid of Sam's biologicial parents, keep his brother.
Not loving Russell Eddington~can't stand Tablot.
Someone Please stake Lorena already :goodidea: ~BUT that must be SOOKIE WHO DOES IT!!
Need to see SOOKIE & :viking: Make   :jumpclap:
Find a "good women for SAM".
