Long or Short Hair? and Why...

I've only just watched the first two episodes of Season 2 but i'd seen a few pics and was thinking that i didn't like the short hair, but have to say its grown on me.

Either way i think he's still sexy as hell!

I did read somewhere, that they did the whole hair thing in the show so they could get rid of the wig and Alex could grow his own in, so the Long hair might be back!

I'll take AS any way I can get him! He looks hot with both the long and the short hair. It doesn't really matter to me as long as I get to fantasize about him!

Of course...the picture of Eric that always comes to my mind is of him with long hair...as that's how he's been described time and time again in the novels....but short hair works for me just fine.

I LOVE when he walks out the back door of Fangtasia and his hair and jacket are blowing back. That's just hot.

I'm torn. He's perfect either way but I've seen a few older pictures of Alex with his hair long and it's so silky looking and gorgeous.
If I have to choose, it'd be long on the show (his hair, not the wig).
And why? Mainly because of the books but it seems to give him a combination of looks; rock star dangerous yet almost angelically beautiful. YUM!

In the first season when I saw him I was all "Wow... he's pretty..." -drools enigmatically- And so I obviously think that his long hair suited him and gave him a rather funky look if I do say so myself. But when it was cut in the second season I noticed he was even perdier still

I am not sure whether I prefer either one. I love the short hair, you can see his face so much better, but now that his long luscious mane is gone I kind of begin to miss it a little

Alex is gorgeous either way but i think he looks better with short hair, makes him look more sexy and intense

Short hair. I think his long hair takes away from his features and you're not able to really see his facial structure etc. Short hair suits him better, imo.

During the 1st season I found his long hair goregous. But his short hair has really grown on me. It's easier to run your fingers thru it.

well, normally i fall for the guys with long hair...but i think he looks so much more badass with short hair. maybe if it was his real hair that was long it would have looked better, but i'm all for the short hair. that's one of the changes from the book i actually enjoy

I'm torn. I love the long hair but the short looks good on him too. I like the idea of being able to grab the long hair and wrap it around my fingers but the shorter hair looks very sleek and sexy.

Well. On the set of the Straw dogs Alex appears to have very short hair again. I certainly hope they would grow back before the start of the shooting of episode 3. I do not want to see that awful wig again.

I love his short hair! The long hair hid his features a bit and the short hair gives full access to them.

When I first saw the short hair, I was *really* bummed. My mental image of Eric is as the book described him...with the long hair. And, in the first couple of episodes in which he appears, the long hair seems to make him appear more menacing.

That said, however, I'm *LOVING* Eric with the shorter hair. It makes him the complete package. And,honestly, the longer hair was looking a bit greasy.

I think the long hair was necessary in the first few episodes to "establish" Eric in our minds. After all, Eric-of-the-short-hair wouldn't have made as much of an indelible impression on our minds as he sat on his throne in Fantasia as Eric-of-the-long-hair did.

Now that he's "established," give me the short hair. Yummmmmmmy!

Going by the books' perspectives, he should have long hair. And so sorry! but I didn't think they did him justice at first on True Blood. The whole character wasn't quite "right" with me. Maybe because of the difference between the books and the show.( I watched S1 and then read the books and now into new season). So I had a mental image of what I thought he should resemble and Alex just wasn't it. Now that he's made Eric his own though, the shorter hair is very becoming and just adds to allure and hotness and deliciousness!
