I would recommend this one
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4627923/1/Tasting_Sin
From all the fanfictions I have read - not so many but sure a couple - this author manages to stay true with original characters and not getting to soft or cheesy. And it´s incredibly funny as well. ;) Of course adult content ;)

My favorite is "Know Thyself."

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4791743/1/Know_Thyself

It starts out a bit slow, the characterization of characters is dead on, it satisfies a need to see the characters grow, answers many questions, and it has real adventure and plot twists. I find myself mentally referring to conversations and events from this story, and forgetting that it's not part of the real Sookie universe. I am impressed by her understanding of the characters. It brings more depth.

There's also this really funny, cute short story that makes fun of the wait for "Dead and Gone" book.

"Know Thyself" is my favorite also. It's excellent.

:thud: That was so spot on character-wise I keep getting it confused with the real series when I think back. Amazing!

This isn't raunchy but very funny and cathartic!

Book Eric has 5 minutes with Alan Ball. Short and hilarious.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5128677/1/Eric_Alan

I've also been reading this one - the books retold from Eric's POV. She's done a really good job with him. I'm not usually big on fanfic but this one has got me :) She sticks to events in the books - uses all the book dialogue - but it's just rewritten with Eric's internal narrative.

This is the same Eric story here that is written by DeeDee! It is good, actually great! I just wish she would post some more (hint-hint!If you see this DeeDee :D ) The other short story is really cute, thanks for the heads up. My recommendation is Death Eatin A Cracker by Misscyn. She really gets the characters, and her running dialogue on her Bio is really funny as well.

I really enjoy http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5152041/1/Dead_Wrong and the sequel http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5395918/1/Dead_Certain by Meg2. They have a great alternate plot and story. They are a little light on ESN, but the stories themselves are great.

She says on her profile page that she has sequels coming up. I can hardly wait to read them. I really love DeeDee's "Eric", too. Like many others I cheer when she updates. I also love "Know Thyself" and "Late".

It was althe place where some of the riders posted some wonderful FanFiction.
some of the writers were:
Erimpav, that's vampire backwards
Latbfan

Now here are some of the sites they posted on:

BACK FROM THE DEAD
Sookie Stackhouse fan fiction
by J. Barrington

The story thus far …

The life of a telepath is no leisurely coast up the bayou. As a matter of fact, it’s more like falling overboard and wrestling with the alligators. Fighting off the unwelcome innermost thoughts of humans, my whole life, proved to be so challenging that most of the locals labeled me as crazy. 24/7, my mind involuntarily read the thoughts of most humans within close proximity. Then my eyes were opened to the mysterious world of the supernatural also known as the Supes. Realizing that you are on the bottom of the Supe food chain, as well, is bound to put a negative spin on a gal’s Joie de Vivre.

We’ve all heard them: the tales of wildlife behaving strangely ahead of a big hurricane; howling or barking of dogs prior to a great seismic shock; worms and snakes pouring out of the ground or creatures heading to higher ground before the big flood strikes. I was waiting to see such an omen, the hint alerting me of the impending doom, hand writing on the wall, a blaring neon sign. All I got was a deafening silence that seemed to still the earth. All life appeared to vanish with the waking day or whatever was waking. I guess that was the sign because my inner voice was urging me to take cover. Did I heed? That would be too much like right. The unearthly light was eerily bright over the horizon and was somehow too beautiful to behold. It made me want to weep.

Thanks for your endorsement and encouraging words. I hope that you continue to follow the story. However, I am not Morgaine.

I, J. Barrington, am an avid fan of the Sookie Stackhouse paranormal mysteries by Charlaine Harris, so much so, that waiting for the next book was not an option! This new story picks up after book 9. Join in as we continue to pay homage to CH in a continuing saga of the Sookie Chronicles. The characters are just too delicious to lie dormant while Charlaine pens the next masterpiece. Tune in weekly for the next installment of Back from the Dead.

Hi I thought this would be the prefect thread to pimp Sapfirerose's SVM addiction site.

http://mysvmaddiction.blogspot.com/?zx=a20b32b460efb024

There are daily fanfiction update posts with links to the new chapters (if you're a writer there's a form you can fill out to have your fic featured) and there's also the 'Fanfictasic Friday' section where you can recommend your favourite fics (another simple to complete form) or just have a read at the fics that others have recommended.

Right this second I'm waiting for Morgaine to add more chapters to Late!!!!
A friend of mine writes the story "Sookie's Birthday Suprise" and is up to 146
she writes a chapter a day.
