Ep 13 / 2x01 Nothing but the Blood
Sookie and Tara are horrified to see the dead body of "Miss Jeanette" in Andy's car. Sookie learns about Jessica and is angry at Bill for keeping things from her - for lying to her. Later she also learns that Bill is the one who killed her Uncle Bartlett. They make up, and Bill tells her that he loves her. The episode ends with Eric - in the middle of having his hair highlighted - descending into Fangtasia's basement, where Royce and the still-alive Lafayette are being held. Royce attacks Eric, and Eric kills him.
Ep 14 / 2x02 Keep This Party Going
A blood-soaked Eric takes Lafayette up to answer some questions, hoping to locate Godric, a missing vampire in Dallas. Bill tells Sookie more about how dangerous a newly-made vampire can be, while Sookie tries to convince him that he's being too hard on Jessica. Sookie, suspicious of Maryann, invites Tara to move in with her. Lafayette manages to escape from Fangtasia's basement, but he is shot by the brain-addled Ginger. Sookie takes Jessica to her parents' house and is horrified and helpless when Jessica goes in and confronts them. Eric meets up with Bill and explains that he needs Sookie's help, but Bill refuses to comply. Lafayette tries to talk Eric into making him a vampire, then cries out as Eric, Pam, and Chow start biting him. Bill intervenes at Jessica's house, ordering Sookie out so he can take care of the mess.
Ep 15 / 2x03 Scratches
Sookie is attacked by a mysterious creature with the head of a bull, and Bill must take her to Fangtasia for Eric's help. Dr. Ludwig removes the poison from the scratches on Sookie's back, and Bill heals her with his blood - after refusing Eric's offer to give Sookie his more powerful blood. Sookie makes a deal with Eric: she will go to Dallas if he frees Lafayette. Eric agrees to this.
Ep 16 / 2x04 Shake and Fingerpop
Bill and Sookie go to Dallas, taking Jessica with them. They question a thug hired by the Fellowship of the Sun. Eric goes to Lafayette's house and gives him blood to heal his leg, then flies to Dallas to join Bill and Sookie. At the hotel, Sookie meets Barry, another telepath. Maryann the maenad is stirring up lots of trouble back in Bon Temps.
Ep 17 / 2x05 Never Let Me Go
Eric is furious that Godric's people, Stan and Isabel, won't stop fighting long enough to come up with a plan. Sookie offers to infiltrate the Fellowship during the day. After Bill presses him, Eric reveals that Godric is his maker.

Eric invites Lorena to distract Bill from Sookie.
Ep 19 / 2x07 Release Me
Eric and Isabel discuss the Fellowship, and Eric asks Isabel what it's like to love a human. She asks him if Bill knows of his interest in Sookie, and Eric lies that he isn't interested in her. Stan infuriates Eric by suggesting that Eric isn't doing enough to find Godric. Eric suspects that Stan is behind Godric's disappearance. Later, in his room, Eric overhears Barry telling Bill that Sookie and Godric are in the basement at the Fellowship church, and he zooms out.
Ep 20 / 2x08 Timebomb
On Godric's orders, Eric helps Sookie escape the Fellowship, but Steve Newlin manages to capture them. Stan and his people show up and start to fight, but Godric appears and tells them to stop. Back at Godric's house, Eric warns Jason Stackhouse not to deal V any more. Sookie suspects that Bill didn't come for her because Eric stopped him, then finds out later that it was Lorena. Eric is troubled by Godric's melancholy.
Ep 21 / 2x09 I Will Rise Up
When a Fellowship suicide bomber attacks Godric's house, Eric protects Sookie with his own body, taking two bullets. With Bill distracted elsewhere, Eric convinces Sookie that he'll die if she doesn't suck out the bullets - a trick to get her to drink some of his blood. Later, Sookie dreams of herself and Eric as lovers. TV personality Nan Flanagan comes to Dallas and chews out Godric, and Godric admits that he gave himself over to the Fellowship. Isabel is named the new sheriff of the area. Sookie goes out onto the roof to see Eric weeping as he says goodbye to Godric, who wants to die. She stays with Godric as the sun rises and he is consumed by fire.
Ep 22 / 2x10 New World in My View
Sookie has another dream about Eric, in which she comforts him after Godric's death.
Ep 23 /2x11 Frenzy
Sam Merlotte goes to Fangtasia with Arlene's children, whom he's looking after, to get Eric's help with the maenad. Eric says he will go to the queen and impresses the "teacup humans" by flying straight up into the air. Eric arrives at the queen's house just as Bill is leaving, and Bill threatens to tell Sophie-Anne that Eric is involved in the V-trade.
Ep 24 / 2x12 Beyond Here Lies Nothin'
As Eric is forced into a dull Yahtzee game with Queen Sophie-Anne, it is revealed that she's the one ordering him to deal V.
